Since the Cloud Computing has come in to existence. It has taken world technology by Storm. But that doesn’t mean all the skills are useless. Cloud add advantage that, instead of creating own infrastructure, Organization can use this facility on rent. Cloud Computing is one of the most sought technology right now. As per various websites, the average salary for AWS engineers in India is around ₹895000 and while in USA it is $74,996 which is quite big.

Every Cloud Computing provider are offering training and certifications of different skills. Amazon provides AWS Certification, Microsoft provides Azure Certification, while Google offers Google Cloud Platform Certification to add weightage to your resume.

Cloud computing is now expanded to all the fields whether its education, Health or infrastructure or it would Information technology. According to article which is published in “The Hindu” more than 1 Million jobs will be created in Cloud by the end of 2022.

So there is no shortage of opportunity under Cloud. All you need to do is learn Cloud skills. and it will be your choice whether you want to go for AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). I am sharing some Market share information about these Giant Cloud Providers. For Quarter 4 (2019), AWS generates 32.4 % market share, followed by Azure 17.6 and Google cloud Platform carrying a 6 %.

How can you start your Career with Cloud and what skill do you need to start with?

Business Knowledge:

Before moving in to any field, you should have business insight knowledge. Why are we doing this and why are doing that? Why we should we use Cloud? What was the necessity that force IT industry to use Cloud?

So No Problem- I will share some information in my next blog about why are we using cloud and why Cloud is so important?

MS Excel is capable of doing so many things. It has so many functionalities that help you in work scheduling, Accounting purpose, Analysis, and showing business trends.

Reason behind its popularity is its simple looking interface and its licensed is also quite cheap as on compared to data analysis tools. Importance of excel cannot be decrease because, as much as you can work on SAS, SPSS and tableau but your higher management always want to see report and dashboard in only excel. They do not care about coding at all. They always want to see short and crisp report.

Everyone should know, basis of excel. But I have observed that there are so many management professionals from higher management, program management (PMO’s) and Project manager, they don’t have basic knowledge for addition, subtraction, Count and lookups. I have seen so many times, that even for small things higher management is dependent on MIS professionals. PMO and project coordinator needs to prepare Invoice report, Dashboards, and WFM report to align work within the team member.

I have seen people, who took very long time to do single and easy task. Which can be done within an hour or two.

Give some time to learn at least basic excel. Now everybody is social media and spend so much time on Internet and there are so many websites and YouTube Channels helping professionals so learn these skills. And also there are so many institutes who are running online classes as per student feasibility.
